Sensex rose 376 points to 72426

Mumbai: Indian stock markets also ended the week with a sustained rise due to universal rally in global stock markets today ahead of US data. US stock markets were up yesterday ahead of US inflation data, while Asian markets and European markets were up today. Auto stocks led by Mahindra, Maruti Suzuki rose on the report of Mahindra & Mahindra signing a supply agreement with Volkswagen in the battery segment in the Indian stock markets. Shares of automobile companies rose

There was a strong rise in the shares of automobile companies today led by Mahindra & Mahindra funds. The stock rose by Rs 70 to Rs 1835.55 after Mahindra announced that it has signed a supply agreement with Volkswagen in the battery segment. Tube Investments increased by Rs 187.80 to Rs 3671.25, Bajaj Auto increased by Rs 236.40 to Rs 8357, TVS Motor increased by Rs 48.70 to Rs 2141.50, Tata Motors increased by Rs 18.55 to Rs 938.75, Maruti Suzuki increased by Rs 213.60 to Rs 11,301.40, Hero MotoCorp increased by Rs 76.45. IT shares are on the rise

BSE Capital Goods index closed 762.08 points higher at 55999.37 as funds made heavy purchases in capital goods stocks today. Metal-mining stocks surge
