Sensex increased by 535 points and closed at 73,158

Thursday's trading session was good for investors in the Indian stock market. A huge fall was seen in Indian markets in morning trading. Sensex fell nearly 600 points and Nifty fell 180 points. But due to the return of buying in the market from lower levels, a sharp rise was seen. Nifty rose 375 points from the day's low, while Sensex rose more than 1150 points.

BSE Sensex closed at 73,158 points with a jump of 535 points and Nifty closed at 22,217 points with a jump of 162 points.

At market close today, the market capitalization of BSE Sensex was Rs. 392.19 lakh crore which is a record high closing level. While the market price in the last trading session was Rs. Indian stock markets opened with slight gains and BSE Sensex opened in the green. Nifty also managed to open above 22 thousand but was seen slipping in the flat range in the initial minutes of the market. BSE's 30-share major index Sensex opened with a slight gain of 54.41 points at 72,677. NSE's Nifty opened with a slight gain of 26.50 points at 22,081.

Stock market opened on Saturday 2 March

The National Stock Exchange (NSE) and Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) have announced a special trading session on Saturday, March 2. NSE and BSE issued a circular on Wednesday saying trading in equity and equity derivatives segments will be allowed during the session scheduled for March 2. There will be an intraday switch to the Disaster Recovery Site (DR Site) on this day. This DR site will work to keep the data safe in case of cyber attack. Apart from this, business will also become more secure.
