Sensex crosses 79,000, Nifty crosses 24,000

Ahmedabad: A day before India's inclusion in the JP Morgan Bond Index, a new history was created in the Indian stock market today. The BSE Sensex today crossed the 79,000 level for the first time and the NSE Nifty crossed the 24,000 level on the back of fresh buying by foreign investors amid strong expectations of many major positive reforms and other proposals to be introduced in the next budget. Investor wealth (BSE market cap) also increased to a record high of Rs. 438 lakh crore.

As a result of these reports, India will be included in the JP Morgan index from today, there is a strong expectation that $30 billion will flow into India in the next 10 months. Nevertheless, in the first six months of the current year, foreign investors have invested a whopping $8 billion in the Indian debt market

This report had a positive impact on foreign investors. Based on these reports, foreign investors today invested Rs. 7659 crore and withdrew Rs. On the other hand, the calculation of the announcement of other positive reforms including tax relief in the upcoming budget also had a positive impact on the market.

Based on the above reports, foreign investors, players, operators, including fresh opinions from Chomar, the Sensex surged and crossed the intra-day level of 79,000 and touched a new lifetime high of 79,396.03. It closed at a new high of 79,243.18, up 568.93 at the end of the session.

Like the Sensex, the Nifty too returned to a fresh uptrend today, breaching the 24,000 mark to hit a lifetime high of 24,087.45 before closing at a new high of 24,044.50, up 175.70 points.

Investors' wealth today rose by Rs. 1.40 lakh crore on the back of a rally in the Sensex. It was Rs. 438.42 lakh crore, reaching a record high. Despite major market indices hitting record highs, small-cap and mid-cap stocks witnessed massive profit-booking selling pressure today.
