Stock Market Today: Indian stock markets are trading with a decline after a flat start today. On the other hand, the BSE market cap at 10.42 am today stood at Rs 10.42. 450.42 lakh crore reached a record level. In today's morning session, the Sensex opened with a slight decline of 81.6 points against last Friday's close and crossed the 80 thousand mark with a gain of 25.78 points. However, later the Sensex fell by 200 points due to increased profit booking. At 10.56 am it was trading 136.31 points down at 79860.29.
BSE's market cap is continuously reaching new record highs
The BSE market cap is continuously recording new record highs. Today it has reached the level of Rs. 450.42 lakh crore. After a flat start, at 10.56 am Nifty is trading 34.55 points down at 24289.30. In Nifty 50, 18 stocks are trading with gains and 32 stocks are trading with losses. Out of 3954 stocks on BSE, 1956 stocks were trading in the green zone and 1829 stocks were trading in the red zone. Corporate results for the first quarter of the current financial year will be announced soon. The stock market has been witnessing a great boom for the last one month. Market experts are predicting a break anytime.
345 stocks hit new yearly high
Today, 345 stocks touched new yearly highs on BSE. While 26 stocks were recorded at yearly lows. Upper circuit was seen in 308 stocks and lower circuit in 216 stocks. On the back of the rally, smallcap and midcap stocks reached new all-time highs today. An attractive rally was also seen in PSU stocks.
