Sensex again crosses 75000, investors' capital increased by Rs 21 lakh crore in two days

Stock Market Closing: The stock market is recovering from a one-day fall after the unexpected results of the Lok Sabha elections. After falling by 4389 points on June 4, the Sensex has improved by 2995.46 points in the last two days. Investors' capital has also increased by Rs. 21.12 lakh crore.

Today Sensex managed to close at 75074.51, up 692.27 points. Nifty closed at 22821.40, up 201.05 points. Intra-day Nifty remained slightly away from the 23000 level. BSE market cap today increased by Rs 7.89 lakh crore to Rs 415.96 lakh crore.

Upper circuit in 398 stocks

Today, 398 stocks hit an upper circuit on BSE. While 131 stocks reached their peak of the year. Out of the total 3945 stocks traded on BSE, 3010 stocks rose and 833 stocks fell. Many stocks fell by 25 to 30 percent in last Tuesday's fall.

According to Vinod Nair, Head of Research, Geojit Financial Services, positive momentum has been seen in benchmark indices with the possibility of stable government formation. However, until the NDA gets the confidence of the new cabinet, a state of confusion is likely to remain. Volatility may be seen in the market till the next budget.

Smallcap-Midcap up by 4%

The stock market witnessed a universal improvement for the second consecutive day today. In which small cap jumped 3.26 percent and midcap jumped 2.28 percent. Apart from this, metal, power, energy, capital goods, realty index also registered a gain of 3 to 4 percent. Many stocks of the smallcap index closed in the upper circuit of 20 percent. All PSU stocks rose between 4 to 13 percent.

These stocks of the Sensex pack improved

Out of the 30 stocks in the Sensex pack, 23 stocks have registered a gain of up to 4 per cent while seven stocks have declined up to 2 per cent. Tech Mahindra, HCL Tech, SBI, Infosys, NTPC were the top gainers while Hindustan Unilever, Asian Paints, Mahindra & Mahindra, Nestle, IndusInd Bank were the top losers.
