Kanpur, June 22 (HS). Sensation spread on Saturday when 15 dead cattle were found in a closed empty plot near the slaughter house located on the Sisamau drain. People came to know about it when a foul smell emanated from the plot and as soon as this news spread like fire, Bajrang Dal workers reached the spot. They started creating a ruckus alleging cow slaughter.
As soon as the information about the incident was received, the police and the municipal corporation team reached the spot. The forces of many police stations were also present with them. The police pacified the crowd by explaining things to them.
DCP Central RS Gautam said on Saturday that information was received about dead cattle lying on the vacant land of the slaughter house near the Sisamau drain. After this, police from Colonelganj, Kohna and Gwaltoli police station reached the spot. Investigation by ACP Colonelganj Mahesh Kumar has revealed that dead cattle including cows, buffaloes, horses, donkeys, etc. have been dumped on the empty land near the drain. A lot of garbage generated during the sacrifice on Bakrid was also deposited here.
