Senior SP leader shot himself, lost important post in elections

SP party leader committed suicide: Former district president of Samajwadi Party DP Yadav committed suicide by shooting himself on Saturday morning. After getting the information, his family and workers reached his residence in Buddhivihar. Former Rajya Sabha MP Veer Singh informed the police in this matter. At present, the reason behind the suicide is not known.

One of the founders of Samajwadi Party

DP Yadav was one of the founders (co-founders) of the Samajwadi Party. He did not get any important post in the party. However, he continued to work for the strengthening of the party. After the party's alliance in the Gram Panchayat elections, his brother-in-law and SP district president Jaiveer Singh was removed from the post and he was made the district president.

Ruchi opposed making Veera a candidate

During the Lok Sabha elections, Dr. DP Yadav opposed the candidature of Ruchi Veera instead of ST Hassan. Disgruntled Yadav did not even participate in the election campaign. After his complaint to SP President Akhilesh Yadav, he was removed from the post of district president and Jaiveer Singh was made the district president again. After this, he kept distance from political activities.

The family consists of wife, daughter and son. Daughter Anjali, besides being a lawyer in the Supreme Court, also runs an organization working for the rights of victimized women. DP Yadav's son is also a lawyer.
