Haridwar, 27 September (Hindustan Reporter). On the occasion of World Tourism Day, a seminar on the topic “Tourism and Peace” was organized at Ganga Museum, Haridwar. In this program chaired by District Tourism Development Officer Amit Lohani, various tourism hotels and businessmen shared their views to promote tourism in Uttarakhand and Haridwar.
Dharamshala Committee President Mahesh Gaur and Travels Association President Umesh Paliwal stressed the need to provide more facilities to traders to increase tourism in Haridwar. On this occasion, Amit Lohani said that the government is continuously making efforts to promote tourism. He mentioned the initiative to link traders involved in home stay business with Arogya Chikitsa, which will benefit the pilgrims and the local people.
In the program, Vikas Tiwari of Dharamshala Defense Committee, Sunil Sethi of Mahanagar Vyapar Mandal, former councilor Anirudh Bhati, Akhilesh Chauhan of Budget Hotel Association, District Ayurvedic and Unani Officer Dr. Swastik Suresh, President of Home Stay Association Monique Dhawan, Senior Assistant of Tourism Department. Many businessmen associated with tourism hotel travels including Ashish Paliwal, Manoj Tomar, Gambhir Singh Kohli, Tirath Singh, Manish Sharma, Kiran Bhatnagar and home stay operators were present.
