Varanasi. The scorching heat continues in the month of Jyeshtha. Rajasthan, Delhi, Punjab, Uttarakhand, Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh and other states of North India are getting scorched by the rays of the sun. Amidst this havoc of scorching heat, the normal life of the people is completely miserable. Experts are also advising not to go out during the afternoon in this heat. Meanwhile, there has been a big change in the timing of the semester examinations of Banaras Hindu University (BHU) located in Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh. The new time of the semester examination to be held from 4 June to 30 June has been released.

According to the notification issued by Banaras Hindu University, now all the semester examinations to be held till June 30 will be held from 8 am to 11 am and from 3 pm to 6 pm. For this, the Controller of Examinations Office has sent a letter to the heads of all the institutes and faculties of the university.

Decision taken keeping in mind the health of the students

After receiving the letter from the Controller of Examinations office, the change in the timing of the examinations has started. B.Com, M.Com and MBA examinations will be held from 4th June from 8 am to 11 am. BHU PRO Dr. Rajesh Singh told Local 18 that the university administration has taken this decision so that the students do not face any kind of problem due to extreme heat and heat wave.

The temperature reached 47 degrees

Let us tell you that the mercury in Varanasi had reached 47 degrees Celsius in the past few days. Due to the scorching heat, there was silence from the ghats to the roads. There has been a slight decrease in the temperature in the last two days, but the mercury is still above 42 degrees Celsius. The local people are also surprised to see the silence on the ghats. Apart from this, it is also affecting the livelihood of the boatmen. Aman, who came to visit Kashi from Ballia, said that he had come to visit Banaras. But seeing the heat, he thought it better to sit in the shade of a tree.
