Srinagar, June 18 (HS). The highest level of security preparations and tight arrangements have been made for the visit of Prime Minister Narendra Modi to Srinagar city of Jammu and Kashmir on June 20. The Prime Minister will arrive in Srinagar on the evening of June 20 and will participate in the 18th International Yoga Day at the Sher-e-Kashmir International Convention Center on the banks of Dal Lake in Srinagar the next day. He is expected to be joined by more than 6,000 other participants.
This is Prime Minister Modi's first visit to Jammu and Kashmir after being elected as the Prime Minister of the country for the third term. The SPG teams deployed for the security of the Prime Minister had reached here five days in advance so that the security arrangements could be coordinated with the security personnel of Jammu and Kashmir. The venue has been completely sanitized. The SPG will take control of the venue two days before the Prime Minister's visit. For the visit, human surveillance, electronic equipment, drone surveillance, control over the vast area and monitoring of the VVIP route with Hawkeye are being done.
Every detail in the blue book describing the security of the Prime Minister is being followed meticulously. Jammu and Kashmir DGP RR Swain is personally monitoring and coordinating every detail related to the security of the Prime Minister. All roads leading to the venue will be completely sealed a day before the visit. No risk is being taken regarding the security of the Prime Minister, a top intelligence official said.
