Jammu, June 18 (HS). Security personnel have detained three people, including a couple, for questioning in connection with the activities of terrorists involved in the recent attacks in Doda district of Jammu and Kashmir.
Officials believe that a group of three to four militants is present in the upper areas of the district.
Five Rashtriya Rifles jawans and a Special Police Officer (SPO) were injured when militants attacked a joint check post in the upper reaches of Chattergalla on the Bhaderwah-Pathankot road on the night of June 11. Later on Wednesday evening, a policeman was injured when militants opened fire on a search party in Kota Top village in Gandoh area of the district.
Security forces have detained three people from Jai area of Doda district. Sources said the three include a couple and a teenager, who are suspected of providing food to terrorists and not informing security forces about their activities. All three people are being questioned.
