Secret deal made between America and Iran? Shocking signals came from the closed door talks in Doha

A very shocking and big news is coming out amidst the huge tension that has been going on in the Middle East for a long time. A highly confidential and indirect conversation took place between America and Iran in Doha, the capital of Qatar, which has created a stir in global politics. There are some positive signals from this latest meeting which can change the face of Gulf countries in the coming days. Representatives of both the countries brainstormed for hours on ways to implement the already finalized Memorandum of Understanding (MoU). In this high-profile discussion, very sensitive issues like unlocking Iran’s billions of dollars of frozen assets, creating a brand new and stringent system to monitor violations of the agreement and the security of the world’s most sensitive sea route ‘Strait of Hormuz’ were put on the table. Although differences between the two superpowers still persist on many fronts, the feedback given by the mediator countries trying to bring the talks back on track is really encouraging.

Representatives did not sit face to face, Qatar and Pakistan took command

Giving a major update quoting Iran’s government news agency IRNA, Deputy Foreign Minister Kazem Gharibabadi has confirmed that this important phase of implementing the MoU has now been completed. The interesting thing is that the diplomats of the two diametrically opposed countries did not sit face to face even once in the luxurious hotels of Doha. The entire negotiation was conducted by the mediators from Qatar and Pakistan sitting in separate rooms. During this period, a historic agreement has been reached to bridge the gap of distrust between the two countries. Both sides have now agreed that a ‘Special Communication Channel’ i.e. hotline will be established very soon to prevent any possible violation of the agreement, to share information immediately and to keep a solid record of each and every thing. Garibabadi believes that this new structure will prove to be a lifeline in resolving any suddenly arising major dispute through dialogue in future.

Trouble stuck on $3 billion fund, America sets strict conditions

After this secret meeting, another sensational claim came out from the streets of Arab media. Reports said that in the Doha talks, an initial agreement has been reached on releasing a huge amount of about $3 billion from Iran’s frozen assets, which is planned to be handed over to Iran in instalments. But as soon as this news spread, the American camp immediately put a brake on it. A senior American official clarified in a clear tone that at present Washington has not released a single dollar from Iran. America has made its condition clear that Tehran will get funds only if it fully accepts every condition of the MoU. Not only this, even if this amount is released in future, Iran will not be able to spend it as per its wish. After the final approval from America, this money can be used only for humanitarian needs, especially for purchasing agricultural products from American farmers and delivering food and essential goods to the common people of Iran.

Cross-border debate on the Strait of Hormuz and Lebanon dispute

In the trilateral meeting, not only money was discussed, but there was also a heated debate on the most burning region of the Middle East, Lebanon and the strategic route of the ‘Strait of Hormuz’. Iran directly alleged that Israel’s military presence inside Lebanon remains the biggest obstacle to implementing this peace agreement. Along with this, Tehran once again roared on the global stage and said that the sovereignty of Iran and Oman on the Strait of Hormuz should be respected at all costs. Iran has made it clear that before any big and comprehensive deal, its 5 major conditions will have to be accepted. On the other hand, a new peace proposal has also been placed on the table from Oman’s side, on which the representatives of both the countries will take the next step only after consulting the top leadership at their respective headquarters.

Trump’s close associates had prepared the script, received an ultimatum of 60 days

Qatar’s Foreign Ministry spokesperson Majid Al-Ansari termed the entire conversation as ‘positive progress’ on social media platform X (earlier Twitter). He said that both sides are ready to move forward on many complex issues related to the Islamabad MoU. However, the next meeting will be called only after the completion of the funeral programs of Iran’s former supreme leader. If inside sources are to be believed, the script of this entire conversation was written in a very strict style. Just before this marathon meeting that started from Tuesday night till Wednesday, US Representative Steve Witkoff and President Donald Trump’s very close advisor and son-in-law Jared Kushner had a closed-door meeting with the Prime Minister of Qatar, where the entire blueprint of this conversation was prepared.

America’s simple mathematics is that if Iran accepts a comprehensive nuclear deal, it can get a much bigger global economic benefit than the earnings from the Strait of Hormuz. While signing the first MoU, both the countries had set a target of completing this mega-nuclear deal within 60 days, and this meeting in Doha is being considered as the biggest and decisive step in that direction.
