Dehradun, September 12 (HS). The second phase of Uttarakhand Congress' Kedarnath Pratishtha Yatra has started on Thursday. Before starting the second phase of the Yatra under the leadership of State Congress President Karan Mahara, the Seva Dal in Sitapur hoisted the flag and sang the national anthem after the national song Vande Mataram. All India Congress Secretary and Co-incharge Surendra Sharma along with the workers inaugurated the Kedarnath Dham Pratishtha Raksha Yatra and prayed for the prosperity of the country and the state.
Uttarakhand Congress Vice President Organization and Administration Mathura Dutt Joshi said that the Padyatra (Kedarnath Pratishtha Raksha Yatra) organized from Har Ki Pauri Haridwar to Kedarnath was stopped in Sitapur due to natural calamity. Joshi said that after night rest, the Yatra will be concluded on September 13 at 8 am after Jal Abhishek and worship in Kedarnath and after meeting with the pilgrimage priests and press conference.
State President Karan Mahara said that no matter what happens, this yatra will not stop now. Mahara alleged that the way the BJP government has divided Kedarnath has hurt the people who believe in Sanatan Dharma. He said that the BJP government is adopting such tactics to divert the attention of the public to hide its failures. The government's failures are being exposed due to rain everywhere and the government is trying to avoid it. He said that the condition of the roads has become very pathetic. People are becoming victims of accidents every day due to the roads not being in good condition. The government is not paying attention to this. Crores of rupees have been spent in the name of Smart City in the capital Dehradun, but the roads are filled with water. Due to this, people are facing difficulties.
