Kanpur, 07 October (Hindustan Reporter). Even though monsoon is almost on the verge of withdrawal in Uttar Pradesh, the rainy season is not going to end yet. The Meteorological Department says that anyway the monsoon is making a late withdrawal this time, but three types of seasonal activities have become responsible for the rains. Due to this, there is a possibility of rain in Uttar Pradesh and this is a matter of concern for the farmers.
Dr. SN Sunil Pandey, meteorologist of Chandrashekhar Azad University of Agricultural Technology, said on Monday that this time the monsoon is taking a late departure. Monsoon has completely withdrawn from Kanpur division and monsoon is on the verge of withdrawal from Eastern Uttar Pradesh also. Earlier, it was expected that after the withdrawal of monsoon, the weather will clear and farmers will have clear weather for harvesting and threshing of paddy. With this, the weather will become favorable for sowing Rabi crop, but these days three types of seasonal activities have become. Among these, one is low pressure, second is western disturbance and third, anti cyclone has become active in the Arabian Sea. Due to the activity of these three, Uttar Pradesh is once again witnessing moderate and heavy rains and on Monday also it rained in many districts including Kanpur. These weather activities are clearly indicating that the rainy season will continue in Uttar Pradesh for three to four days. Along with this, there will be movement of clouds in the sky and there will be thunder along with strong winds. In such a situation, it has become a matter of concern for the farmer brothers, because the paddy crop is almost ripe and the farmers also have to sow the Rabi crop. In such weather, neither Kharif crop can be harvested nor Rabi crop can be sown. Along with this, it is natural that the production of Kharif crop will also be affected.
He said that the maximum temperature in Kanpur was recorded at 34.8 and the minimum temperature was 21.8 degrees Celsius. The relative humidity in the morning was 93 percent and the relative humidity in the afternoon was 59 percent. Wind directions remained calm with an average speed of 2.3 km per hour and rainfall was 6.8 mm. According to the weather forecast, there will be light clouds in the next five days. During this period, there is a possibility of light to moderate rainfall at local level.
