WhatsApp users can now filter their data and view it in WhatsApp. This means users no longer have to look through the entire chat history to find a message, they can only view chats filtered by time. Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg has given information about this new feature of WhatsApp on his WhatsApp channel.
Mark Zuckerberg shared a video demonstrating this new feature. It is worth noting that WhatsApp was working on this feature for a long time and its testing was also going on in the beta version of the app. Now this feature has been officially released on all platforms. The feature has been rolled out for Android, iOS as well as web and Mac desktop versions of the WhatsApp app.

However, before doing this process, visit Play Store or App Store and check whether your phone has the latest version of WhatsApp app or not. If not the latest version, update. Once your WhatsApp app is updated to the latest version, follow the steps below.
First of all, open WhatsApp app on your Android and iOS smartphone. Now open the chat or chatgroup in which you want to search the old message.
Now tap on the name of the person or group and tap on the search option. Now you will see an icon that looks like a calendar, tap on it. On Android this icon will be in the upper right corner. Whereas in iOS you will see a calendar icon right below the keyboard.
Now select date, month and year in it. Once this is done, tap on the Jump to Date option and all the messages for the date you selected will appear.

First of all, open WhatsApp app in Chrome or any browser of your computer. Now open the chatgroup or chat from which you want to search messages.
On the phone, tap the search icon visible in the upper-right corner next to the three dots below. Here tap on the icon that looks like a calendar and select Date, Month, Year option. Now select the date on which you want to search the messages.
