Kedarnath cloudburst: Three bodies have been found buried under debris in Lincholi on the way to Kedarnath Yatra. It is suspected that all three died in the cloudburst on July 31. The SDRF team reached the spot and recovered the bodies of all three.
SDRF team conducted search operation
Due to heavy rains during the monsoon season this year, landslides have occurred in many areas of the country. Due to which Wayanad and Kedarnath are quite deserted. Then on Thursday (August 15), some laborers informed the SDRF about some bodies buried in the debris. After this, a team of SDRF led by SI Prem Singh reached the spot and conducted a search operation. In which the bodies buried under big stones were taken out and handed over to the district police. The process of identifying the bodies has been done by the district police.
Most of the roads were destroyed
It is worth noting that due to heavy rains on the night of July 31, there was heavy damage at 13 places on the route of Kedarnath Yatra. It is taking time for the road to open. At present, air travel is going on. Due to heavy rains between Bhimbli and Lincholi, the roads between Gaurikund and Rambada were most affected. Most of the roads are damaged in Bhimbli and Jangalchatti. While there were 10 places where the road was damaged. 50 meters of road was washed away in Jangalchatti.
