SDRF rescued 21 pilgrims who got lost in Budhakedar of Uttarakhand

Tehri, July 29 (HS). A group of 21 pilgrims who had lost their way in the Budhakedar area while returning from Gangotri in Uttarakhand have been safely rescued. According to the police, the disaster control room received information at around 9 pm that they were stranded in Jhala, about three kilometers away from Budhakedar. On this information, the SDRF team left for Jhala.

It is said that due to the bad condition of roads in the area, the team reached the place on foot. The team safely evacuated all 21 Kavadis from the inaccessible mountain path and the banks of the overflowing river amid heavy rain. All of them were taken from here to the Budhakedar bus stand. Arrangements for food and accommodation were made for them there.

The Kanwariyas have appreciated the promptness and dedication of Inspector Deepak Joshi and the members of the SDRF team. Deepak Joshi said that this operation was carried out under the direction of Commandant Manikant Mishra. By 6:12 am on Monday, all 21 Kanwariyas were rescued safely.

The following pilgrims were taken out: (1) Akash Kumar son of Talevar Singh, (2) Sonu son of Hansraj Singh, (3) Sumit Kumar son of Jaidev Singh, (4) Akash Kumar son of Rohtas Singh, (5) Mohit Kumar son of Udal Singh, (6) Sachin Kumar son of Tikam Singh, (7) Sanjay Kumar son of Harpal Singh, (8) Saurav Kumar son of Kalwa Singh, (9) Mahendra Kumar son of Hukam Singh, (10) Parvendra son of Khoobi Singh, (11) Bablu Kumar son of Prem Singh, (12) Sunil Kumar son of Govinda, (13) Amit Kumar Gupta son of Shivdutt Gupta, (14) Sushil Kumar son of Govind Singh, (15) Vikram Singh son of Harpal Kumar, (16) Manish son of Rajesh, (17) Lalit Kumar son of Virendra Singh, (18) Subhash son of Kurri Singh, (19) Ashish son of Surendra Kumar, (20) Bhupendra son of Ramesh Chandra, (21) Raju son of Dalchand.
