Purnia, 27 July (HS). The new committee of Mata Puran Devi temple has been formed recently by the trust committee in which many members have been elected. The ex-officio president of the temple trust committee is the Sadar SDO in every district, so the members here are the ex-officio presidents of the SDO. The vice-president is Mrigendra Kumar Dev and the secretary is Poonam Mishra. Other members include Dr. Alok Kumar, Manoj Singh, Rajkumar Yadav, Vijay Shankar, Aatish Sanatani and many others.
Apart from all the members, other dignitaries of the city were also present at the time of office inauguration. During this, the president was honored by giving him a symbol of Mata Puran Devi Nyas Samiti and by draping a shawl on him. After the evening aarti in the temple, prasad was distributed to hundreds of people. There are many marriage halls in the campus of Mata Puran Devi temple, where people coming from far and wide stay and get their children married. There is a system of everything from Gaadi Poojan to Mundan and Bali Pratha here. After the formation of the new committee, new works are being done continuously in the temple so that everyone coming to the temple can get maximum convenience. For this, an office has also been made with a coupon counter from where the arrangements of the temple will be managed in the best possible manner.
For transparency, a board has been put up in the temple premises showing the amount of money spent for various works, which people can read and do their work accordingly. Complete electricity arrangements have been made around the temple. Now there is light all around at night. The Divya Talab situated in the temple premises has been cleaned and a program has been prepared to do many works in it as per the new plan. Now the entire temple premises is under CCTV surveillance.
