On Thursday, SDO Subodh Kumar and JE Ravindra Kumar of the flood department inspected the overflow site on the banks of the Masan river near Jharamahui village, affected by the Masan river, located in Salaha-Bariyarwa Panchayat of Block Bagaha 1.

Many people including Flood Rescue Struggle Committee President Khaliq Qureshi, Safiur Rahman told that SDO Subodh Kumar and JE Ravindra Kumar of the Flood Department inspected the overflowing area on the banks of the Masan river on the east side of Jharamhui village. He told that the flood victims demanded from the departmental SDO that the two thousand sacks which have already been packed should be kept at the demolished site and completed so that there is no problem in movement.

The villagers told that the SDO sahab replied that we will work only after getting orders from above. Due to continuous floods in the Masan river, the people of the coastal villages were very troubled. The flood water had entered the coastal villages of the Masan river including Jharamhui village as well as Tamkuhi, Ajmal Nagar. The banks of the Masan river have been destroyed at many places due to the flood. Along with transportation, walking has also become a cause of trouble for the people. However, the local people showed the view of the place to the departmental SDO and also appealed. Despite this, the SDO turned a deaf ear to the problems of the affected people.
