SDM, MLA and Chairman held a meeting with the businessmen of the marketing yard

Araria, June 26 (HS). On Wednesday, local MLA Vidyasagar Keshari, SDO Shailaja Pandey, Nagar Panchayat Chief Councilor Veena Devi inspected the market committee and held a meeting with the businessmen to resolve the problems being faced by businessmen during the renovation of Forbesganj Krishi Utpadan Bazar Samiti (dissolved) at a cost of crores. After listening to the problems of the businessmen, the MLA, SDO and Chief Councilor talked about resolving their problems.

The businessmen say that while constructing shops and godowns in the market committee, the contractor broke the road in front of dozens of shops where they were already doing business, due to which they are facing problem in doing business. While talking to the SDO, MLA and Chief Councilor in the meeting, the businessmen said that they do not have any problem with the renovation. But they are facing a lot of problems as the contractor is currently constructing huge pillars in front of their shops. Because it is a wholesale market, hundreds of vehicles ply here every day. But due to the breaking of the pillars and the road, their business is getting affected a lot.

The businessmen have demanded from the SDO to allocate a godown along with a shop of one thousand square feet in the new shops being constructed. It was said that at present there are 30 licensed shopkeepers in the grocery market. The shopkeepers demanded to demolish the old buildings after allocating shops to the previous shopkeepers from the shops being constructed. They have also demanded to immediately stop the construction work going on in front of the shops.

After listening to the problems of the businessmen, the MLA, SDO and the Chief Councilor assured that all the businessmen will be allotted shops on the lines of Katihar and Gulabbag. Also, the contractor was instructed to immediately construct an alternative route for the movement of vehicles. So that the businessmen do not face any problem in doing business.

Vidyasagar Agarwal, Jaikumar Agarwal, Suresh Agarwal, Yogesh Bhupal, Kanhaiya Agarwal, Sanjay Agarwal, Raju Bhagat, Sheetal Agarwal, Gopal Prasad, Pradeep Rathi, Kamleshwari Prasad, Manoj Agarwal, Rajvanshi Prasad, Chotu Jain etc were present in the meeting.
