Araria 21 September (HS). On behalf of the Bihar State Bharat Scouts and Guides Forbesganj subdivision unit, a Prabhat Ferry was taken out on the occasion of International Peace Day from the local Plus Two Lee Academy playground on Saturday, which was jointly flagged off by the city's Chief Councilor cum District Commissioner Guide Adult Resources Veena Devi and District Commissioner Scout Adult Resources Shri Kumar Thakur, District Organization Commissioner Scout Baijnath Prasad.
On the occasion, Municipal Councilor Veena Devi said that people should be motivated to work for peace and harmony, for this people will have to work together and solve problems without violence. Thakur said that the message of Messenger of Peace can be given to people only by promoting dialogue between different cultures.
District Organization Commissioner Scout said that this year the theme of International Peace Day is Peace is the development of culture. To spread peace in the world, a project named Messenger and Peace was started in 2010, under which the purpose is to spread peace by awakening the feeling of goodwill and belongingness among the people all over the world and to spread the service work done by the Scout Guides all over the world and take the world on the path of peace. Prabhat Ferry was conducted by Scout Master Mohammad Shahid Alam.
Apart from state award winner Mohd. Sabdul and Prem Kumar, scouts Mohd. Kabir, Ansh Kumar, Vishal Kumar, Ramjani, Rahul Kumar, Mithilesh Kumar, Aditya, Ravi Kumar and guides Simran Kumari, Sakshi Kumari, Mausam Kumari, Jyoti Kumari, Mahi, Kushum, Priyanka, Riya, Nisha etc. were also present.
