Scorpio collides with a truck parked on the roadside, 10 pilgrims including children injured | News India

Mirzapur, 07 October (Hindustan Reporter). On Monday, a Scorpio returning after visiting Varanasi Prayagraj Highway in front of Katka village under Kachwan police station area, hit a truck parked on the roadside. Ten people including a child were injured in the accident. All the passengers in the Scorpio were residents of Hanumana police station, Mauganj district of Madhya Pradesh.

The Scorpio, which was returning after visiting Dargah Sharif Ambedkar Nagar, was coming from Varanasi. Babusarayan had just got down from the overbridge and reached in front of Katka village when she hit a truck parked on the roadside in front of the petrol pump from behind. There were a total of 16 people in the Scorpio including the driver. The injured include Abhiman (02) son of Kaleem, Rehman (07) son of Kaushal, Rizwan (01) son of Mohammad Riyaz, Zoya (04) son of Mohammad, Shahzadi Begum (45) wife of Rahim, Mohammad Karim (30) son of Mohammad Rahim, Jaibunnisha. (22) Wife Mohammad Kalim, Rani Begum (26) Wife Mohammad Karim, Muskaan Bano (04) Daughter Mohammad and Armaan (05). Of these, five seriously injured people, Rizwan, Jaya, Muskaan Bano, Armaan, Rani Begum, were sent by ambulance to the Trauma Center Varanasi for treatment. Police station in-charge Kachwan Trivenilal Sen said that the Scorpio driver dozed off due to which the road accident occurred. The police took possession of the truck and Scorpio involved in the accident and started taking legal action.
