Shimla, May 11 (HS). The Scorpio car went out of control and fell into a deep ditch in Theog sub-division. The 19-year-old college student driving the car died in the accident. The deceased has been identified as Chris son of Rajesh, resident of Narel village of Kumarsen. He was a first year B.Sc student in a college in Shimla city. The accident happened around 9 pm on Friday night on the link road in Jubbar, Fagu.
According to the information received from the police, Chris was driving Scorpio number HP64A-5500. He was alone in the Scorpio. The Scorpio was going towards Gadyog Shaloghat when Chris lost control near Jubbar and the car fell into a ditch about 200 meters deep. Hearing the sound of the fall, local people gathered and informed the police. The Theog police team, with the help of villagers, found Chris in a pool of blood about 50 meters down the road. He died on the spot. This accident has wreaked havoc on Chris's family. There was chaos in the family on the news of the death of the only son. Parents and a sister are in a bad condition due to the sudden demise of their brother.
DSP Theog Siddharth Sharma has confirmed the accident. He said that the body has been handed over to the family after post-mortem. A case has been registered and the cause of the accident is being investigated.
