School Uniform: Now school students will not get money for dress; Know the new order

Sitamarhi: About a dozen schemes are being run at the level of Bihar Education Department in the interest of children. One of these schemes is the Dress Scheme. Under this, children are provided class wise and category wise amount of clothes. Meanwhile, the Education Department has taken an important decision regarding this scheme. This decision is in the interest of children and their parents. However, this decision will definitely displease some parents who were not able to get their children's dresses stitched after getting the dress money. They used to spend the amount of the dress on some other item. Actually, the department has now decided to give uniforms instead of giving money.

The condition of the project on the ground is bad

The beginning of the dress scheme is the contribution of CM Nitish Kumar. This scheme was started in the year 2018. The government had a better and far-reaching thinking behind implementing this scheme, but it could not be implemented 100 percent on the ground. The government's idea was that children of government schools should also come to school wearing dresses. In this sequence, it came to light that even today children from rural areas come from economically weak families and it would be difficult for their parents to get dresses stitched. This means that this will place a different financial burden on parents. Keeping all these things in mind, the government had implemented this scheme to provide financial assistance to parents in getting their children's dresses stitched.

Even 50 percent children are not in uniform

Even today, 50 percent of the children in schools do not come wearing uniform, even though they have received money for the uniform. Such a situation is especially seen in schools in rural areas. Neither the teacher nor the parents care whether the children come wearing a dress or not. Many parents do not even understand the usefulness of the money spent on clothes and spend that money on other items. Due to the provision of giving cash, irregularities are taking place on a large scale. This thing is not hidden from anyone. Due to this irregularity, action has been taken against many headmasters in the district. However, now the department has decided to provide only dresses from the new session. A tender has been issued for this. Additional Secretary of Education Department, Subodh Kumar Choudhary has fixed April 24 as the last date for contractors to participate in the tender for supply of uniforms.

How much money do children get?

Under the Dress Scheme, Rs 1500 is given to high school girl students from class 9 to 12. Here, SC-ST, BPL students and all girl students of classes 1 and 2 are given Rs 600, while all APL students are given Rs 400. At the rate of Rs 600 for all SC-ST BPL students from class 3 to 5, Rs 700 for all girl students and Rs 500 for all APL students, Rs 700 for all SC-ST BPL students from class 6 to 8. All girl students are given dress money at the rate of Rs 1000 and APL students are given Rs 700. The special thing is that the benefit of this scheme is available only to the children who have registered 75 attendance.
