School Time: Big news for school students! Disaster department issued advisory regarding school timings, check immediately

Education Department Update: In view of the increasing heat every day, the Disaster Management Department has issued an advisory for all departments. Top officials of the departments have been instructed to implement this advisory. The most important instruction is for the education department.

The Education Department has been told that to protect school children from the scorching heat, it is necessary that schools should not run in the morning shift or summer holidays should be declared before the scheduled time. If necessary, schools can be closed for a short period considering the summer conditions.

District Magistrates have been authorized for this. It has been asked to ensure provision of drinking water and ORS at schools and examination centres.

Asked to prepare isolation wards in hospitals

In view of the increasing heat, the Disaster Management Department has asked the Health Department to make special preparations. For the treatment of people suffering from heat, hospitals have been asked to arrange isolation wards as per requirement.

Instructions have also been given to arrange static and mobile medical teams for the affected areas. All primary health centres, referral hospitals, sadar hospitals, sub-divisional hospitals and medical colleges have been asked to be prepared with special arrangements.

Ground water level should be reviewed continuously

The Public Health Engineering Department has been asked to continuously review the ground water level. It has been asked to continuously monitor this.
