School Holidays 2024: There is good news for the students. Due to heavy rains, holiday has been declared in all government, semi-government and private schools (class 1 to 12) and Anganwadi centers in Bageshwar district of Uttarakhand today, September 27, in view of the safety of the students. At the same time, holiday has been declared in schools on Friday in some districts of Uttar Pradesh.

Tamil Nadu School Education Department has also extended the school holidays till October 6. Now schools will open on 7th October. After the quarterly examinations, the School Education Department had declared a five-day holiday from September 27 to October 2, but teachers' organizations had requested that teachers need time to complete the evaluation of the copies of the quarterly examinations, in such a situation the department All schools, including government-aided schools and private schools, have decided to remain closed till October 6 and will now reopen on October 7.

When will schools be closed in October-November?

In Chhattisgarh, all schools will remain closed on the occasion of Dhanteras on 29 October, Narak Chaudas on 30 October, Diwali or Lakshmi Puja on 31 October, Govardhan Puja on 1 November and Bhai Dooj on 2 November.

In Jharkhand, government schools will remain closed for Durga Puja Saptami on 9 October, Diwali on 1 November and Chhath on 6 November.

The Telangana government has announced Dussehra and Badhukamma holidays for schools from October 2 to October 14. Classes will resume on October 15. Private schools have announced that they will remain closed for holidays from October 1. The next long holidays are scheduled for Christmas in the last week of December and Solstice in January.
