School Holidays 2024: There is good news for students. Deputy Commissioner Vineet Kumar has issued orders to keep all government offices and educational institutions closed on 23 September to mark the arrival of Baba Sheikh Faridji in Faridkot. Schools will also remain closed in Jammu and Srinagar today i.e. on Monday, on the birthday of Maharaja Hari Singh Ji.
Apart from this, all government and private schools in Haryana will remain closed on the occasion of Martyrdom Day. Holiday has been declared in schools on 23rd and 24th September in view of tiger activity in Jakhnidhar tehsil of Pauri Garhwal district of Uttarakhand. Pauri District Magistrate Ashish Chauhan has issued an order in this regard. Keeping in mind the safety of school students, the District Magistrate has declared holiday on 23rd and 24th September in 9 schools and all Anganwadi centers of Dwarikhal area.
So many holidays in Chhattisgarh from September to December
- Chhattisgarh School Education Department has released the calendar of holidays in schools and B.Ed-D.Ed colleges for the academic session 2024-25. A total of 64 days of holidays have been declared in the list of Directorate of Public Instruction.
- In this, winter vacation will be of 6 days and summer vacation will be of 46 days. Summer vacation will start from 1st May and will continue till 15th June. 6-6 days holiday has been declared on Dussehra and Diwali.
- There will be holiday on account of Dhanteras on October 29, Narak Chaturdashi on October 30, Diwali or Laxmi Puja on October 31, Govardhan Puja on November 1 and Bhai Dooj on November 2.
Schools are also closed in Bihar and Jharkhand
In Bihar, a holiday has been declared in schools on September 25 due to Jiutiya festival. In Dhanbad district of Jharkhand, government schools will remain closed due to Jiutiya on September 25, Durga Puja Saptami on October 9, Diwali on November 1 and Chhath on November 6.
