School Holidays: There is relief news for school students. In view of the scorching heat and heat wave, many states have started declaring summer holidays ahead of time and the timings of many schools have been changed. In this sequence, school timings have been changed in UP and Patna, while summer holidays have been announced in all government and private schools in Puducherry.
Summer vacation in Puducherry from 29th April
Due to heat and wave, early summer holidays have been declared in all private and government schools of Puducherry. According to the School Education Department, all government and private schools in Puducherry will remain closed from April 29 to June 5. Now schools will be opened from June 6. According to the Meteorological Department, from April 29 to May, the minimum temperature in the state is expected to be 27 degrees Celsius and the maximum temperature is expected to be 37 degrees.
School timings changed in UP
- The Basic Education Department of Uttar Pradesh has changed the timings of schools for the next two days. Under this, on April 27 and 28, all schools from classes one to eight will operate from 7.30 am to 11.30 am. Whereas 28th April is Sunday. According to the order issued earlier, from April 29, the timings of all schools will be from 7.30 am to 1 pm.
- Lucknow DM Suryapal Gangwar has changed the school timings for classes 1 to 12 from 7.30 am to 1 pm. This rule will be applicable to all schools including various boards till further notice. Now madrassas will open from 7 am to 12:30 noon. Its instructions have been issued by Dr. Priyanka Awasthi, Registrar of Uttar Pradesh Madrasa Education Council.
- In view of the scorching heat in Bihar's capital Patna, school timings have once again been changed. In all schools, classes from 1st to 9th will be held from the time of school opening till 10.30 am only. After this, no classes of these classes will be held till 4 pm. Classes of 11th and 12th will continue till 11.30 am only. DM Shirat Kapil Ashok has clearly said in his new order that in view of the scorching heat, all the schools of Patna will be kept closed from 10.30 am to 4 pm.
Holidays have been declared in these states
In other states of the country, summer vacation has been announced in Maharashtra from 18 April, in Odisha from 25 April, in West Bengal from 22 April, in Chhattisgarh from 22 April and in government schools of Bihar from 15 April. At the same time, timings of many schools have been changed in the districts of Jharkhand, Patna and UP.
