School Holiday: Holiday declared in schools up to 8th standard and Anganwadis in Gwalior district on September 12 | News India

Gwalior News: It has been raining continuously in Gwalior for the last several hours, due to which the weather has become pleasant but many problems have also increased, there is waterlogging at many places in the city, many schools are also flooded, in view of the situation, on the instructions of Gwalior Collector, a holiday has been declared tomorrow i.e. Thursday 12th September in schools from nursery to eighth standard and Anganwadi centers operating in the district.

Today on Wednesday, when the people of Gwalior woke up in the morning, it was raining. The rain which started after midnight continued till the time of writing the news. The rain definitely made the heat and humidity disappear from the weather and brought coolness but at the same time it also exposed the Municipal Corporation. The roads were flooded with water. Many schools also got caught in the waterlogging in the rain. There were also reports of children facing problems due to water dripping in old school buildings.

Holiday declared in schools and Anganwadis up to class 8

Meanwhile, the Meteorological Department has also issued an alert of heavy rain in the coming time. In view of all these conditions, on the instructions of Gwalior Collector Mrs. Ruchika Chauhan, a holiday has been declared tomorrow, 12 September, in all Anganwadis and schools from nursery to class 8 operating in Gwalior district. In two separate orders issued by the District Education Officer and the District Program Officer of the Women and Child Development Department, it has been clarified that this holiday will be only for children, the headmaster, all teachers and Anganwadi workers, assistants will be present on their duty.

Tighra dam overflows, all 7 gates opened

Let us tell you that the rain is not limited to Gwalior district only, it is also happening in other nearby districts, due to which the Tighra dam, which quenches the thirst of the people of Gwalior, is overflowing, the rain water in its catchment area is reaching Tighra rapidly, so to keep the water level of Tighra under control, all its 7 gates have been opened today and 3000 cusecs i.e. 85 cumecs of water is being drained, a huge crowd of people is reaching Tighra dam to see this.
