Hamirpur, 04 November (HS). There is a stir in the school after a scam of Rs 99 lakh came to light in GRV Intercollege in Hamirpur district. The police have registered an FIR against the then manager of the college regarding this matter and have now started investigating the entire episode.
RR Gupta has been posted as manager in GRV Intercollege operated in Rath town of Hamirpur district for the last fourteen years. Who has given a big blow to the school by embezzling more than Rs 99 lakh from the management account. The management committee of this school has been in the headlines every day due to controversies. Thousands of students are studying here. RR Gupta, resident of Ludhiyatpura Muhal of the town, was holding the chair of manager of this college for three months and had made serious allegations against six employees including the school principal Dhunnulal clerk Asaram, chairman Prem Pratap Singh, Surjan Singh, Raja Kushwaha and Shivendra Saxena. He had also filed a case against these people in Rath Kotwali. Three months later, on the complaint of Colonel Prem Pratap Singh, the current manager of the school's management committee, the police have registered a case of embezzlement against former manager RR Gupta. Kotwali in-charge Inspector Umesh Kumar Singh said that an FIR in this case has been registered on the orders of the court and the matter is being investigated.

Three months ago, former manager RR Gupta had made sensational allegations of missing fourteen years of records by breaking the locks of the archives in GRV Intercollege. On their complaint, the police had registered a case against Colonel Prem Pratap Singh and six employees including the Principal at Rath Kotwali. It was alleged that by breaking the locks of the archives, all the records, chequebooks, cashbooks, bill vouchers from 2009 to 2024 had been stolen, while important records related to the school's farming had gone missing. On the basis of the complaint, the police registered an FIR and started investigation.

The current manager of GRV Intercollege Rath, Colonel Prem Pratap Singh, has filed a case of embezzlement of more than Rs 99.15 lakh in the police station against RR Gupta, who was the manager of the school for fourteen years. The police have taken this action after the court's order. The manager told that the management committee was dissolved from 27 December 2023 to 8 February 2024. RR Gupta was not even the manager of the school during this period, yet Rs 17.50 lakh was embezzled from the management fund. Told that from 2009 to 2023, an amount of more than Rs 99.15 lakh has been embezzled.
