Let us tell you that the Central Government has made guidelines on sexual harassment of children in schools on 1 October 2021. The NGO Bachpan Bachao Andolan has demanded the court to implement the guidelines of the Central Government to ensure the safety of children in educational institutions across the country.

The central government issued these guidelines

In October 2021, the central government issued several guidelines regarding the safety of children. This includes verification of staff in the school, monitoring of CCTV cameras in the school, meetings of teachers and parents and verification of safety measures at regular intervals. The court has now directed to implement these guidelines across the state.

Only 5 states followed the guidelines

NGOs allege that only five states (Punjab, Jammu and Kashmir, Madhya Pradesh, Mizoram, Daman and Diu) follow the central government's guidelines on child protection. The rest of the states have not followed the central government's guidelines at all.
