New Delhi: ( CM kejriwalgrant bail) Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has got bail from jail in the liquor scam case. A two-judge bench gave the verdict on Chief Minister Kejriwal's bail. The bench of Justice Suryakant and Ujal Bhuiyan had reserved the decision after hearing the arguments on the case on September 5.
Justice Suryakant said
During the hearing, both the judges expressed different opinions. Justice Suryakant justified the arrest of CM Kejriwal. However, Ujjwal Bhuiyan disagreed with Justice Suryakant.
Justice Suryakant said that his arrest is not illegal. Freedom is a specific part of the judicial process. Keeping a person in custody for a long time is unjust. It is depriving someone of freedom.
On what conditions did CM Kejriwal get bail?
The Supreme Court has released him from jail. The Supreme Court has granted him bail with certain conditions. According to the court, he cannot go to the Chief Minister's office. Also, he cannot contact witnesses. The third condition is that he cooperates in the investigation. The court has released him on a bond of Rs 10 lakh. He can neither go to the Chief Minister's office nor sign any file.
