Green leafy vegetables (Palak, Methi, Cabbage): In the scriptures, eating green vegetables in the month of Sawan is completely prohibited. From a scientific point of view, due to continuous rain in this season, insects and harmful bacteria start growing in the vegetables, which causes stomach infection and diarrhea.

Brinjal: Eating brinjal in Saavan is considered religiously impure. At the same time, according to Ayurveda, brinjal is most likely to be infested with insects during the monsoon season, which increases Vata dosha.
