
‘Shravan month’, the most sacred and auspicious month of worship of Lord Mahadev, is just a few days away. According to the Hindu calendar, this year Sawan is going to start from 30th July 2026 and it will end with the holy festival of Raksha Bandhan on 28th August. According to astrological calculations, this time the beginning of Saavan is happening in the very rare combination of Shravan Nakshatra and Ayushman Yoga, which is considered very auspicious. It is considered very easy to please Lord Bholenath in the month of Shravan. To perform puja in Sawan, wake up early in the morning and after taking bath, wear clean clothes. After this, offer pure water on Shivalinga from a copper or brass pot. After offering water, offering milk, curd, ghee, honey, Ganga water, Belpatra, Dhatura, hemp, dakta flowers and Shami patra is very fruitful. During the puja, keep chanting “Om Namah Shivay” mantra or Mahamrityunjaya mantra continuously. There is a religious belief that by offering Belpatra and Shami leaves on Shivling in Sawan, Ashutosh becomes happy very quickly and fulfills every wish of the devotees.
