Saving of Rs 1,096.88 crore through FDR technology, environmental relief provided by mining of 3.78 lakh cubic meters of aggregate, a matter of pride, Keshav Prasad Maurya

The general body meeting of Uttar Pradesh Rural Road Development Agency (UPRRDA) under the Rural Development Department was called under the chairmanship of Keshav Prasad Maurya. Honorable Minister of State Mrs. Vijay Lakshmi Gautam, Principal Secretary Rural Development Mr. Saurabh Babu, Secretary and Commissioner Rural Development Mr. Pramod Kumar Upadhyay, Secretary Finance, Secretary Public Works Department, Uttar Pradesh State Rural Development Road Agency, Chief Executive Officer Mr. Shiv Sahay Awasthi along with senior officers and technical assistants of the concerned departments were also present in the meeting. Shri Maurya ji directed to coordinate with the Finance Department to immediately issue financial approvals, ensure continuous use of footprint and carbon credit and after completion of construction of rural roads, to plant fruit trees along the roads. He instructed the state technical team to invite the central survey team only after completing the testing work of the routes in a timely manner.

While giving consent to the proposals sent by the department, the Deputy Chief Minister directed the officials that the construction work of the remaining roads of Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana (PMGSY) Phase-3 should be completed immediately and the foundation stone of 374 roads approved by the Government of India under Phase-4 should be laid as soon as possible. He also directed to take necessary action to obtain permission from the Government of India to connect villages with a population of 250 to the scheme. In the meeting, the minutes regarding adoption of Full Depth Reclamation (FDR) technique for renovation/upgradation of roads under Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana were approved. Through this modern and environment-friendly technology, approval has been given so far for the construction/upgradation works of 746 roads with a total length of 5,809.99 kilometers in the state.
