Saurabh Shukla told, “We were called for rehearsal before the awards ceremony in Delhi. There we were told where we would sit, how to go on stage, and how to receive the award from the President.”
He told that during the rehearsal it was clearly said that only greeting the President is to be done, shaking hands or touching him would be considered a violation of security protocol.

When Saurabh Shukla’s name was announced, he reached the stage to receive the award from President Pranab Mukherjee. He said, “As I walked towards the President, he had a big smile on his face. He gave me the award and said softly, ‘Judge sir, I have seen your picture twice, because of you.'”
