Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman inaugurated activities at the 9th session of the Shoura Council in Riyadh on Wednesday. Shoura Council Chairman Sheikh Abdullah al-Sheikh and council members who were recently appointed were present at the session. Addressing everyone, the Crown Prince reiterated that the Palestine issue is at the forefront of Saudi Arabia's concerns. He said, we strongly condemn the crimes of the Israeli occupation authorities against the Palestinian people.
Proposal to create an independent State of Palestine
He further said that we will not stop our efforts to make Palestine an independent state. Saudi Arabia has already proposed to make Palestine an independent state. He said, “The Palestinians, whose capital is East Jerusalem, and we make it clear that the state will not establish diplomatic relations with Israel without it.” He thanked all the countries that recognised the State of Palestine and said that it is a symbol of international legitimacy. He also asked other countries to recognise Palestine.
Condemned Israel's crimes against Palestine
Thus the Crown Prince directly said that he will not establish diplomatic relations with Israel until Palestine is made an independent state. Saudi Arabia has earlier condemned Israel's crimes against Palestine. He said that the Kingdom wants an independent state for the Palestinian people which includes the 1967 borders. Saudi Arabia has been seen standing with Palestine on many occasions. They have always supported Palestine and now the Saudi Crown Prince has given an ultimatum to Israel.
The Palestine-Israel war is showing no sign of stopping
More than a year has passed since the war between Palestine and Israel. Thousands of people have lost their lives and many have been injured but there still seems to be no sign of this war stopping. Both countries are constantly attacking each other. However, other countries have tried many times to stop the ongoing war between the two countries.
