A Saudi Airlines plane caught fire while landing at Peshawar's Bacha Khan International Airport on Thursday. The flight had come to Peshawar from Riyadh, the capital of Saudi Arabia. There were about 300 people on board the flight, all of them were evacuated safely in time. A statement issued by Pakistan Civil Aviation Authority spokesman Saifullah said that when the plane was landing, air traffic controllers saw smoke and sparks coming out of the plane's left landing gear. Immediately after alerting the pilots, the airport's fire brigade and rescue services were also alerted.
According to media reports, fire engines responded in time and extinguished the flames from the landing gear, saving the plane from a major accident. There were 276 passengers and 21 crew members on board the plane. Everyone was evacuated safely with the help of inflatable slides.

As the plane was turning in a loop near the runway, smoke started coming out of the left landing gear of the plane and then smoke started coming out.
