Satwik-Chirag pair created history in French Open, captured the title for the second time

World No. 1 men's doubles pair Satwiksairaj Rankireddy and Chirag Shetty have won the French Open Super 750 badminton tournament. This is the second time that the Satwik-Chirag pair has won the French Open title. Satwik-Chirag defeated Lee Jae-Hui Yang and Yang Po-Hwan of Chinese Taipei in straight games 21-11, 21-17 in the final.

Win in just 36 minutes

Satwiksairaj Rankireddy and Chirag Shetty won the final one-sidedly. The pair won the first game 21-11 in just 15 minutes. However, the second game saw tough competition. At one point the game was tied at 5-5 and after the break the Chinese Taipei pair was ahead 11-10. But the pair of Satwik-Chirag made a brilliant comeback and won the game 21-17.

Won the French Open title for the second time

The Indian pair made it to the final of the Malaysia Open at the start of the season, but lost to the Chinese pair of Liang Wei Kang and Wang Chang. Chirag-Satwik lost to the world champions in the India Open final. But this time he did not lose the title. Earlier, the Indian pair had won the French Open title in 2022 and were runners-up in 2019.
