The pair of Satvik Sairaj and Chirag Shetty continued their excellent performance at the Paris Olympics.
The Indian pair defeated Indonesia's Muhammad Rian Ardianto and Fajr Alfian in straight games to top Group C. World number five pair Satwik and Chirag won the match 21-13, 21-13 in 40 minutes. Both the pairs have reached the last-eight but the result of this match decided the top ranked team in the group. The Indian pair registered their fourth win in the last six matches against Ardianto and Fajr. Satwik and Chirag are the first Indian men's doubles pair to reach the Olympic quarter-finals. The knockout of the men's doubles will be announced on Wednesday. During the entire match, the India-Indonesia pair played aggressively, due to which long rally shots were not seen.
