Ranchi (Jharkhand), March 10 (HS). Senior JMM leader and former MLA from Gandey, Dr. Sarfaraz Ahmed will be the joint candidate of India Alliance. This was approved in the meeting of alliance parties held at the Chief Minister's residence late evening on Sunday. The meeting was presided over by alliance party leader and Chief Minister Champai Soren.
Talking to journalists after the meeting, JMM Central General Secretary Supriyo Bhattacharya said that Sarfaraz Ahmed's name was approved in the meeting. He will be the joint candidate of the alliance and will file nomination papers on March 11 at 11 am, which will be attended by the MLAs of the alliance party.
Many MLAs and leaders including minister cum legislative party leader Alamgir Alam, RJD minister Satyanand Bhokta, MLA Vinod Singh were present in the meeting.
