The first match of the three-match Test series between India and New Zealand is being played at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru. After being out for just 46 runs in the first innings of this match, the Indian team made a brilliant comeback in the second innings. Team India has batted brilliantly in the second innings.
In the second innings, Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli and Rishabh Pant scored half-centuries, while Sarfaraz Khan scored his first Test century. When Sarfran and Rishabh Pant were batting, something happened between them and Sarfaraz jumped on the pitch and started pointing towards Pant.

On the fourth day, Sarfaraz Khan and Rishabh Pant started the Indian innings. On the fourth day, both scored runs quickly and reduced the lead. During the 65th over, Sarfaraz hit a cut shot which yielded only one run but Pant came to mid-pitch to score another run on this ball. Sarfaraz, standing at the non-strike end, started jumping on the pitch and denied Pant the second run. Whose video is now going viral very fast on social media. Seeing Sarfaraz, captain Rohit Sharma sitting in the pavilion could not stop laughing.
Sarfaraz scored his first century
Sarfaraz Khan batted brilliantly from the third day itself. He along with Virat Kohli formed a good partnership for the team. Till the end of the third day's play, Sarfaraz remained unbeaten after scoring 70 runs. Today, on the fourth day, Sarfaraz batted brilliantly and scored the first century of his Test career. Sarfaraz Khan remained unbeaten on 125 runs till lunch break.
Dhawan had done this feat before Sarfaraz
Apart from this, Sarfaraz is the second Indian to do so against New Zealand. Before Sarfaraz, Shikhar Dhawan had done this in 2014. Dhawan could not even open his account in the first innings of the match played in Auckland, whereas in the second innings he scored 115 runs. Recently, before this, this record was in the name of Shubman Gill, where he scored one wicket and one century in the Chennai Test against Bangladesh.
