They have sacrificed everything for the country and have suffered the tortures of the British government. The martyrs did not think anything for themselves and sacrificed themselves for the country. These words were said by Sanjay Shriharsh, co-organizing minister of All India History Compilation Committee at CSJMU on Friday.
Chhatrapati Shahu Ji Maharaj University (CSJMU) organised a seminar on the occasion of Kakori Train Action Day under the joint aegis of the Department of Education and the Department of Journalism. The programme held in Deendayal Auditorium was inaugurated with the lighting of lamps. Speaking as the chief guest at the programme, Sanjay Shriharsh, Co-Organisation Minister of All India History Compilation Committee, remembered the sacrifices made for the independence of the country and paid tribute to them, praising their farsightedness and courage. Along with this, he appealed to the students to try to follow the ideals of the freedom fighters.
While presiding over the seminar, the Vice Chancellor of the University, Prof. Vinay Kumar Pathak said that the youth should have the spirit of patriotism. The youth should take inspiration from the freedom fighters of the country. On this occasion, Vice Chancellor Prof. Sudhir Kumar Awasthi elaborated on the subject of Kakori Train Action. A documentary on Kakori Train Action Day was shown by the Department of Journalism in the program. Students of the Music Department sang patriotic songs. The program was organized by Dr. Rashmi Gore of the Education Department. It was conducted by Dr. Richa Mishra of the Music Department and the vote of thanks was given by the Registrar Dr. Anil Kumar Yadav. A large number of university teachers and students, including Dr. Yogendra Pandey, Dr. Omshankar, Dr. Kalpana Agnihotri, were present in the program.
