Advocate Rebecca John, who appeared in the court on behalf of Sanjay Singh, said, 'There is nothing defamatory in what Sanjay Singh said about the university. It is clear from the video that this statement is not a case of defamation of the university. It is not said that Gujarat University has created fake degrees. On this the court said, 'These arguments can be given when the case is heard in the trial court.' Saying this the court rejected the application.
