Sanjay Jha once again mentioned the demand for giving special state status to Bihar

Patna, 04 July (HS). Janata Dal United (JDU) working president Sanjay Jha was given a warm welcome on his arrival in Patna from Delhi on Thursday. Sanjay Jha once again mentioned JDU's demand of giving special state status to Bihar.

Jha said while talking to journalists that a lot of work will be done in Bihar in the next five years. Talks are going on with the central government to get special state status or special package for Bihar. This was also raised in the Parliament. He claimed that a big decision will be taken on this soon.

On the cancellation of Nitish government's order to increase the reservation limit in Bihar to 65 percent after the caste census report by the Patna High Court, Sanjay Jha said that we have already challenged this matter in the Supreme Court. He said that Bihar is the first state in the country where the reservation limit was increased on the basis of caste census. The decision of the High Court in this matter has already been challenged in the Supreme Court.

On the issue of special state, the ministers of Modi government have said many times that no such provision can be made for Bihar. Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman has presented the government's plan on this on many occasions, in which it has been said that now no state of the country will be given the status of special state. In such a situation, JDU, which is part of the NDA government, has now strongly put forth its views on this issue.

Sanjay Jha himself seems to be leading this issue. He has also said that if Bihar is not given the status of a special state, then we will also demand a special package. In such a situation, there will be a meeting between the Central Government and JDU on this issue in the coming days.
