Samastipur, 19 August (HS). The new foundation day of the Indian Council of Agricultural Research's Institute, Atari Area 4 Patna was celebrated with great pomp on 19 August. The chief guest of today's program was Dr. R.K. Samanta, former Vice Chancellor, Bidhan Chandra Agricultural University, Kalyani, West Bengal and the chairman was Dr. Udham Singh Gautam, Deputy Director General, Agricultural Extension, Indian Council of Agricultural Research, New Delhi.

First of all, Director of Atari Area Kar, Dr Anjani Kumar welcomed all the guests and provided detailed information about the work being done by Atari. Dr P S Pandey, Vice Chancellor, Dr Rajendra Prasad Central Agricultural University, Pusa, Samastipur, Dr SC Dubey, Vice Chancellor, Birsa Agricultural University, Ranchi, Dr Vikas Das, Director, National Litchi Research Center, Muzaffarpur, Dr Anoop Das, Director, Indian Council of Agricultural Research, Eastern Region, Patna, Dr Abhijeet Kar, Director, National Agricultural Higher Processing Institute, Ranchi, Dr K G Mandal, Director, Mahatma Gandhi Integrated Agricultural Research Institute, East Champaran and Directors of Extension Education of all the Agricultural Universities under Bihar and Jharkhand graced the program with their presence.

In the campus of Krishi Vigyan Kendra Birauli, this program was shown directly to all the employees and farmers of Krishi Vigyan Kendra and detailed information was provided about the activities of Atari and Krishi Vigyan Kendra. Dr. RK Tiwari, Head of Krishi Vigyan Kendra Birauli was present in the program of Atari Patna on this occasion. From today itself, a five-day training program on the subject of dairy farming through scientific method was also started.
