Rishikesh, 09 November (HS). In the pilgrimage city of Rishikesh, a salon worker has been accused of molesting and blackmailing a girl. It is alleged that the accused youth was blackmailing the girl by making an objectionable video. There is anger among Hindu organizations after this incident.

Kotwali in-charge Inspector Rajendra Kholia told that a Muslim youth named Shahil Khan, working in the City Center on Dehradun Marg, was pressurizing a Hindu girl by making an objectionable video. The girl's father complained about this matter to the workers of Hindu organizations.

As soon as the complaint was received, the workers of Rashtriya Hindu Shakti Sangathan caught the accused youth and handed him over to the police. The girl also told the police that Shahil Khan used to forcibly blackmail her.

Activists of Hindu organizations created a ruckus outside the salon and demanded strict action from the police. Many other activists, including Raghav Bhatnagar and Abhinav Pal, said that this was the third such incident in the pilgrimage city in the last one week and they demanded the police to take action by verifying the people belonging to the Muslim community.
