Salman Khan firing case: Bollywood actor Salman Khan has been in the headlines for some time now. After the firing outside Salman Khan's Mumbai home Galaxy Apartment on 14 April 2024, people have become very worried about the actor's safety. However, the police showed promptness and arrested the accused in this case as soon as possible.

The postmortem report of Anuj Thapan, accused in the firing case outside Salman Khan's house, has confirmed that his death was due to hanging. According to the police, there were injury marks on his neck and marks of strangulation.

However, relatives of accused Anuj Thapan later refused to accept the body and claimed that he was tortured and killed in police custody. Anuj Thapan's family is demanding a CBI investigation into this matter.

According to media reports, Anuj Thapan, who was arrested along with his associate Sonu Bishnoi from Punjab on April 26, 2024, was accused of providing weapons to the shooters who fired outside Salman Khan's house. Anuj was 32 years old. On May 1, 2024, Anuj was found dead in the crime branch lockup in Crawford Market. According to the police, he allegedly hanged himself with a bedsheet in the lock-up toilet.

Police officer said- On the evening of 2 May 2024, the postmortem of Anuj Thapan was done at the government JJ ​​Hospital in Byculla. According to the report, there are injury marks on the neck and marks of strangulation, which confirm that his death was due to hanging. According to the police, a total of four people including Anuj Thapan, Sonu Bishnoi, shooter Sagar Pal and Vicky Gupta have been arrested in connection with the firing incident. While gangster Lawrence Bishnoi and his brother Anmol Bishnoi have been shown as wanted accused.

Police said that the doctors who conducted the post-mortem have reserved their opinion. Anuj Thapan's viscera and other samples have been reserved for forensic and chemical analysis, while the organs have been reserved for histopathology. According to the police, in the CCTV footage of the lockup, Auj Thapan was seen going to the toilet alone. In this case it is suicide.

Meanwhile, Anuj Thapan's grandfather Jashwant Singh, along with two relatives and a lawyer, has reached Mumbai from Punjab. He refused to cremate Anuj's body and demanded a CBI inquiry into the matter. -Jaswant Singh said- We were asked to claim the dead body. Upon our request, when the hospital staff showed us his face, we found injury marks on the neck. Looking at these marks, we are sure that he was murdered after being tortured.

Anuj's grandfather further said – We will not accept this dead body until the demand for CBI investigation is met. If the demand is accepted, we will claim the body by tomorrow. A CBI investigation should be conducted into this matter and the police personnel involved in the death should be punished.
