Saurav Sharma Case: A big case of family business and corruption has come to light in the case of Saurabh Sharma, former constable of RTO division of Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh. During investigation, it has come to light that Saurabh Sharma and other members of his family are the owners of many properties and black money. According to the report, there has been a lot of corruption in this property. Which includes many different businesses ranging from tenders related to Indra Sagar Dam.
So much wealth in the name of Saurabh Sharma’s family!
During the investigation, it was revealed that the business of Saurabh Sharma’s family is related to corruption worth Rs 500 crore, in which the names of Saurabh’s wife Divya, father-in-law Chetan, mother Uma and son Abhiral have come to light. Many properties are registered in the names of all these people. Saurabh Sharma’s family has black money not only in Madhya Pradesh but also in foreign countries. The investigating agency has found evidence of foreign investment.
Black money in the name of all members of Saurabh Sharma’s family
During investigation, it has come to light that Saurabh Sharma’s wife, father-in-law, mother and son all have black money in their names. The tender of Indira Sagar Dam is in the name of wife Divya. The former constable of the RTO department has three houses in Indore and 18 acres of land in Gwalior in the name of his wife. Son Abhiral has an FD worth lakhs of rupees.
There is a warehouse in Sukhi Sevaniya, a school in Chetan Kolar, 4 bungalows in Mayur Vihar, Arera Colony- No. 11, Pradhan Mandapam in the name of Mata Uma. There are also 3 petrol pumps on Hoshangabad Road, Aubedullaganj Road, a school in Shahpura, a hotel near Vijaynagar in Indore, a house worth Rs 3.30 crore in E-8 in the name of partner Sharad Jaiswal and a restaurant named Fajito in Shahpura.
Evidence of foreign investment found
The investigating agency has also found evidence of Saurabh Sharma’s investments abroad. In which information about a luxurious villa in Dubai has been received. This villa worth Rs 150 crore has been purchased from the builder of MR Group.
Lokayukta raid on 18th December
On December 18, Lokayukta had raided Bhopal. On December 19, some people of Mandori village informed the police that an abandoned car was parked on a vacant plot. In which 6 to 7 bags are kept. When there was suspicion of having cash, the Income Tax Department was informed. After which the IT team broke the glass and took out the bag from inside, in which 52 kg gold and Rs 10 crore cash were found.
Crores of rupees were found from Saurabh’s house
According to the information received by the media, 234 kg silver and 52 kg gold have been seized in this raid by the Lokayukta police. Earlier, around Rs. Rs 3.5 crore cash, 52 kg gold and Rs 10 crore cash were recovered from a car found abandoned in the forest. The car is registered in the name of Chandan Gaur. Chandan is said to be a close friend of Saurabh Sharma.
