Bhopal, 6 December (HS). Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav said that in Simhastha-2028 and the upcoming Simhasthas, saints, mahants and devotees will take bath in the water of Kshipra only. For this, after the completion of Kanh Diversion Close Duct Project, Sewarkhedi-Silarkhedi Medium Project and Hariyakhedi Project, these projects will work in an integrated manner. These projects will achieve three goals simultaneously. With these projects, the holy river Kshipra will be clean and flowing and due to this, drinking water will also be continuously available to the district. This is the first such project in the country and the state, the Central Government will also be informed about it. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav was reviewing the water supply action plan of Simhastha-2028 and its progress in Ujjain on Friday evening. He instructed the officers to pay special attention to the quality of the works and to complete all the works within the time limit. In the meeting, the action plan to make Kshipra clean, uninterrupted and flowing and to provide drinking water to the district from Kshipra river was discussed in detail.
The Chief Minister said that this action plan of integrated projects has been made keeping in mind the population till the year 2055. Through the Kanh Diversion Close Duct Project, the unclean water of Kanh River will be treated and clean water will be released to the critical downstream. There will be continuous supply of water to Kshipra from Silarkhedi-Sevarkhedi Barrage, due to which Kshipra will remain uninterrupted and flowing. Due to Hariyakhedi project being upstream of Triveni, pure water of Kshipra river will be received from here, due to which drinking water will be continuously supplied to the district.
Ujjain Collector Neeraj Kumar Singh informed that in the Kanh Diversion Close Duct Project, the work of cleaning the Kshipra River will be done by separating the water of Kanh River through 12 km long closed tunnel and 18.15 km closed duct. By constructing barrage, balancing tank etc. in the Sewarkhedi-Silarkhedi project, there will be year-round availability of water in Kshipra through gravity from the Silarkhedi tank to Triveni Ghat pipeline, due to which Kshipra will remain flowing and uninterrupted. Hariyakhedi Water Treatment Plant and Barrage Project will ensure uninterrupted availability of drinking water to the district.

Earlier, Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav reached his private residence in Geeta Colony in Ujjain and met the social worker and his aunt Late. On the demise of Annapurna Devi, people paid tribute to her by placing a floral wreath on her mortal remains.
